Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring
a personal project, and the start of a broader series of work.
A piece on claybord, 24 by 24 inches, mixed media base, spray paint, acrylic paint and inks. Developed using a more rendering focused approach than normal. Thematically, I've always put 'figures' in static, statues essentially in a lot of my pieces, I wanted to really focus on the reclamation of those things, and involve a livelier, fuller figure than usual as a compliment to the static forms. A lot of time rendering and glazing to get the color depth here. Personally, one of my favorite processes, and it'll inform my work in the future. Thanks for viewing.
