The wind, the Sky
An experiment in layers
" I shall be nothing, the wind, the sky. "
A 10 by 10 panel stepped with a 6 by 6 panel, acrylics, condensed watercolor pigment and ground pastes on 2 ampersand clayboards.
The piece was made to push myself into a new way of thinking about composition and layering, by literally forcing the work to be distributed across two layers, with a meaningful band of color to interact and split the image as viewers walk around it.
